I ve tried to change the width of the left column by changing the value
#ja-leftcol {
in css
but the result is not ok, since the left column wasnt resize correctly.
I ve also changed the size of the left-module-bg-green.gif to the aprropriate size,
but stil it is not looking ok.
It only resize in a part of the left column and not to the whole left column.
How could i fix this?

I had the same problem…
You must repaint the gif images into dir “images”: content-bg.gif, content-bg-green.gif etc. etc.

Open one image in paint and you’ll see the standard resolution have a column of 150px coloured on the left, so if you want for example 180px you must adyust with 30px…

I hope this fix your problem 😉
