Is it posibble to either have the facility to add an existing 3rd party module into the ACM – for example a data capture module or to have the loadmodule source code into the module.

Hi
If you want to load a module position or creating a module position in ACM file you need to do customization in the acm Php file,
All the files are present in the acm folder of the template.
in /tmpl folder you can see the style files to customise them.
