Although when I don’t resize the picture, it’s ok.

Which Software you using to edit the images? And which images you try to edit?

I don’t know why your resized image got black. I have tried to resize and it’s still fine

Have you tried to use JPG file or other formats instead of BMP?

Do you have GD Library installed on your server? I think it is required by JA News.
