When will you have a fix for the JomSocial login with facebook?

Seems like another glich in the login with facebook. Do we have to create a new app?

Can you elaborate more on the issue being faced ? Also, Facebook connect is 3rd party application integration which allows users to interact on your website through their Facebook account

It may be a facebook issue. Login with facebook was working fine and importing user info wasn't a problem. Facebook settings in integration was all set to yes. Now the only way it works is with them off... Facebook is changing things and I'm hopeful you guys will keep up with the changes and post a fix as soon as you figure out what needs to be done.

@blacktie4 As I can see that sign-in authentication isnt happening as mail isnt arriving due to which account isnt being created through facebook connect. To be sure, You can also review if you have followed all the documentation steps and configured the application properly

Also, You may wish to disable 3rd party plugins or modules one by one in order to check for conflicts

Thanks. Just wish this company would get it together with documentation. Nothing seems to work with third party components and their documentation is pretty much worthless.

Frustrated is how I've been for years with joomlart and jomsocial

If there is issue in the facebook login, kindly provide us the detail of error you are getting, with site details and FTP details of site.
Facebook recently changed some feature in privacy and we also get reports about profile import from facebook import few fieds.
We are already working on it.

@blacktie4 Can you update your site's credentials i.e. superadmin login and password, by editing your first post > Edit Fields so that I can try to take closer look. It could be due to compatiability issues

I can understand your frustation however please acknowledge that jomsocial component had not been developed at core level by the Joomlart team as the other company who had developed the specific component had been acquired by Joomlart in last year

Nevertheless, Joomlart dev. team is regularly working on providing updates and fixing bugs, patches by improving the component's usability, stability, functionality and user satisfaction based on user feedback which is also evidently seen recently as Joomlart dev. team had released update very recently
