I can understand your frustation however please acknowledge that jomsocial component had not been developed at core level by the Joomlart team as the other company who had developed the specific component had been acquired by Joomlart in last year
Nevertheless, Joomlart dev. team is regularly working on providing updates and fixing bugs, patches by improving the component's usability, stability, functionality and user satisfaction based on user feedback which is also evidently seen recently as Joomlart dev. team had released update very recently
