Quickstart installation and extension update

I have just installed JA Fit and thereafter Joomla. How I do go further to configurate the JA Fit Site?

You can follow template documentation HERE Or install quickstart version with sample data to have an exact replica of our demo site.

Remember that quickstart will install template + joomla so you will need to restart from scratch.

That's exactly what I did with the quick install files. Maybe where is written "install joomla" I don't have to upload the joomla code?

A quickstart file always includes Joomla - a quickstart needs to be extracted to an empty folder and then you install by loading the folder - the browser will start the the joomla install process

The step people commonly miss or forget (even we do this) is to not select the sample date during the install process so the site looks looks empty when viewed

What I did now is delete the whole folder and re-upload the JA-Fit stuff. To my suprise this did not change anything. I think more is needed to begin again (more then deleting the data in public-html?

And when I go to the domain I get a provider provided page, and not the joomla message. I heve to type: www.buitensportsoest.nl/index.php, then I get the joomla page. I tried to delete index.html, but this does not help either.

Now I deleted all the data in public-html, deleted the database and made a new one, uploaded the ja-fit directory structure and still I do not see the installation screen, but a screen that tells me that I have installed everything?

Details sent by email for your database are not working.

Please add as showed HERE Point-5 your Hosting Cpanel access, it will be visible only to admins

FTP transfer will be not a good solution so a cpanel access would be better and faster

also we provide a quickstart installation service at the one time fee of $49 for users want us to install for them

I filled the requested info, but I don't think my provider provides cpanel access. I have posted a question about this at his helpdesk.

I posted already quickstart installation documentation above , anyway

1) Download template quickstart.zip from our servers
2) Extract it on your local or if your hosting allows to extract compressed files upload it on your server and then extract it in the folder where you want your website installed ( public-html)
3) Your folder ( where your website should be installed) should be completely empty no other files should be there
4) Create a new database
5) Point your browser to your domain name ( if you used public-html folder ) installation will start
6) When requested install sample data
7) At the end of installation it requires to delete installation files , click on the delete button
8) It will show 2 buttons with 2 urls back end access and front end access
9) You completed your quickstart installation.

I completed this, and it works! I can not find wich sample data to install. I tried the standard english data, and the beginners joomla data, but this does not work. There's no option Ja Fit standard data.

Kindly ensure if you clicked the respective option on the third screen as seen in screenshot. Yes, there is indeed no such option to select such as "Ja Fit standard data."

Selecting the option as seen in screenshot and therafter, clicking on install and following further steps as outlined will get you replica of the demo site

You can update T3 framework and other Joomlart extensions by installing and configuring JA extension manager component (redirection link mentioned in the forum thread. however, if not using JA Builder, You may omit updating the same
