Problems with updating Joomla from 5.x to 6.x

Hi team, I'm trying to update my Joomla site from 5.4.2 to 6.0.2.
When I start the update, it asks me to do the following:
"The 'Behavior - Backward Compatibility' plugin must be deactivated. This plugin must be deactivated and your site must be working correctly before updating. Before deactivating the 'Behavior - Backward Compatibility' plugin, please read the manual: Compatibility Plugin (Opens the Joomla Developers Documentation site in a new tab or window). Go to 'System - Manage - Plugins' and deactivate the plugin."
The problem is that if I modify this plugin, the site crashes, displaying ERROR 0 for both the site and the administrator.
I don't know why this is happening, nor do I understand what I should do to update to 6.0.2. Could you help me resolve this?

Sounds like you have extensions that are relying on the BC plugin to function on your J5 site. You'll need to update these if possible to J5 compatible without the plugin or replace them with something else that is. J5 is supported for a while yet, there's no rush to upgrade to J6.

Hi Sergio,

mikeymike is right, you can temporarily disable 3rd party extensions on your site for now and disable the BC plugin to see how it goes. And enable them later once you update to J6

I see that it won't let me update T4 System Plugin either. What can I do to update it? (I already tried updating it through Joomlart).

You can update via JA Extensions manager component: https://www.joomlart.com/update-steps

If you've not customized anything in T4 plugin, you can simply download the latest version: https://www.joomlart.com/member/downloads/joomlart/t4/t4-framework-new

and install it into your site.
