I saw on an earlier post from a different template that Backward Compatibility plugin needs to be enabled for the template to work, but I am asking a similar question in case my issue is different.
When I disable the Backward Compatibility Plugin now, the front end of the site breaks, and gives me a "Attempted to load
class JFactory from the global namespace." (See attached for full message).
Obviously I am trying to disable Backward Compatibility plugin because of issues with some third-party components, but wondered if this was an absolute requirement to keep it enabled, or if there was an alternative solution.
