T4 Page Builder with JA Athena (T4 Framework) Integration - Joomla 5.4

Hello JoomlArt Team,

We have purchased the T4 Framework along with the JA Athena template, which we are currently using to build a website based on Joomla 5.4.

Recently, we also installed the T4 Page Builder, aiming to visually edit (drag-and-drop) the existing pages of the site that were originally created using the JA Athena template.

However, the issue we’re facing is that the T4 Page Builder does not recognize or open the existing template-based pages (for example, the homepage that was built with module positions and the T4 Framework layout).
At the moment, the builder only allows us to create and edit new blank pages inside its interface, but not to edit the pages already built with the template.

We would appreciate your guidance on whether there is any way to edit the existing JA Athena template pages using the T4 Page Builder, or alternatively, import or load the current module-based layout into the builder environment for editing.

Any advice or best practices on the proper integration between the T4 Framework and the T4 Page Builder would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

It seems there may be a misunderstanding. T4 Framework and T4 Page Builder are two separate products:

T4 Framework – used to build Joomla templates (for example, the JA Athena template).
T4 Page Builder – a standalone page builder component for creating and editing content blocks and pages.

You can use T4 Page Builder to edit:

Pages created in T4 Page Builder
Joomla Articles
Custom HTML modules

However, it cannot be used to edit the existing layout/pages of the JA Athena template. Those pages are standard Joomla pages, not T4 Page Builder pages.

So, JA Athena pages will need to be edited using Joomla (not T4 Page Builder).
