i mean a css class are hardcoded on the create date from the Template. You can get the icons from this year. have you try only
fa fa-users
?
Edit: you can find the Awesome Font Version in the TemplateDetails.xml or in the ".less" files in the comments.

Edit 2: You can overrite the Class on "Link Class" and write you own css code.
