Class "Factory" not found - URGENT please

Good morning, I am encountering an error after updates in that we cannot edit front end modules - see attached:
Class "Factory" not found

This is a big issue, would appreciate your help please.

This has happened on other sites as well, is there a general update to follow? I have the same issue on at least 4 others. Or can you send me the fix.

I use JA_Vitality and have the same problem I think this needs a fix for everyone, wil there be an update to fix it?

Hi everyone,

This is a minor issue in the T4 Framework.

To fix it, please add the following line of code:

use Joomla\CMS\Factory;

to this file:
[root]/plugins/system/t4/themes/base/html/com_config/modules/default.php

defaultphp.zip

Guys - this is now not a "minor issue" I have updated template and plugin, but this is still happening !!!!!

Please release the corrected version of the plugin as a matter of urgency, I am sure I am not alone here.

It seems that your J6 template for JA Vital is not working, breaks the site....again I am having to roll back a build, I do appreciate you guys getting the templates updated but honestly this is now the second install where its broken and I dont have the time to submit support tickets every time and the await a response, please ensure that every new template is totally tested before realeasing.

Hi Mark,

You can try the following steps:

1/ Switch the default template on your site to Cassiopeia.
2/ Disable the T4 System Plugin and the JA Vital template.
3/ Proceed with the migration to Joomla 6.

Then, check how it goes:

If the migration works fine, the issue is likely related to T4 or the JA Vital template.
If the same issue persists, please check whether any third-party extension might be causing the problem.

Just to be clear Hein,
I am referring to the "class not found issue" - you provided a fix and assured me that this fix was a T4 error and would be sorted out in the latest release? My site is running latest t4 and Vital template - yet still getting error on front end mobile editing?

ramsey1971 As mentioned in the previous posts, the changes need to be made in the following file:

[root]/plugins/system/t4/themes/base/html/com_config/modules/default.php

However, I checked this file on your site and noticed that the modification was missing — it seems the T4 plugin was reinstalled, which overwrote the file and caused the issue to reappear.

I’ve reapplied the update, and the frontend module editing is now working properly again 😉

The massive issue here is that i have multiple issues on a number of sites having the same problem, for example I have just 10 minutes ago updated the t4 plugin to 2.5.1 - and again get the same error, there is no way I can submit individual tickets in each case.

Can you confirm that this fix is included in 2.5.1?

We’ve just released T4 Framework v2.5.2, which includes several bug fixes and improvements for Joomla 6 compatibility.
Please make sure to back up your site before proceeding with the update.

There is another issue on this - I will submit a seperate ticket - the error has gone but now its not possible to save any changes on front end module editing.

We’ve recently updated the T4 framework layout for Joomla 6. However, this update isn’t fully compatible with Joomla 5 (since T4 supports both J5 & J6), which caused the issue you’re seeing.

Please try replacing the following file on your site (unzip first): /plugins/system/t4/themes/base/html/com_config/modules/default.php
