It seems Guru is still linking new users to old records because they share the same user IDs as the deleted accounts.
First, I’d suggest checking your import process to make sure Joomla is creating new user IDs automatically (avoid including an “ID” column in your import file) for the new users.
Alternatively, if you want to start fresh in Guru, you can clear the data from the table #__guru_customer in your database.
This will remove all existing user-course relations and progress records in Guru, allowing the component to register only the new users correctly.
Just make sure to create a full database backup before doing this, since the operation can’t be undone.
