Increase Introtext Limit

How do you change the number of characters for the Introtext Limit in the Articles-Category (Legacy) module? I'm using Quickstart and for the module "Listen to their stories" on the homepage, no matter what I put in Display Options> Introtext Limit (characters), it seems to have a hard limit.

I made a test by setting the introtext limit to 20 and it worked perfectly:

If your site is online, you can share the URL + super admin account so I will take a look.

Unfortunately, my site is not online yet. But, yes, 20 works. You can make number of characters smaller, but increasing it does not work. If you have more text and increase the setting from 200 to 400, it will not show 400 characters. It pretty much cuts off at where it is set at in Quickstart.

illphever How many characters are you setting inside the article? the introtext is the text before the readmore button.

Above the Read More, my introtext is about 400 characters in the Article. But even if I increase the "Introtext Limit" setting in the module to 400, it does not show more of the introtext.

You can override this css rule:
