JA Purity IV template overrides dosen’t work

After being unable to resolve the issue with “Select Layout Blog options” as described here: https://www.joomlart.com/forums/d/50799-select-layout-blog-option-is-missing-in-blog-layout-of-menu-item, I examined the template overrides. I noticed that they are not integrated. When I rename the html directory (templates/ja_purity_iv/html), there are no changes in the frontend. What could be the reason for this?

Hi @ludger freeman,
If you use the default layout of Joomla, there is almost no change. However, in the override section in the html folder, we have integrated some extended layouts for the category and article sections.

thanks for your feedback. The problem is that the template overrides (templates/ja_purity_iv/html) are not recognized. When I rename the html directory, there is no change in the frontend.

I have a second installation of Purity IV with all demo data. When I rename the override directory category (templates/ja_purity_iv/html/com_content/category), the change is also visible in the frontend.
