crop and resize images in modules in home page

Hi everyone,
I've recently started using the JA Good template after upgrading to Joomla 5.3.1. I find the template very nice, but I'm having some trouble configuring it.

As is clear to everyone, I'm using the template for an online newspaper, with all the difficulties that come with it — the main one being the lack of uniform image cropping.

In Joomla 3.x.x, I used GK News for content management, and it handled image cropping on the homepage perfectly.

In the JA Good template styles, I noticed that the resize function works for width, but not for height.

Can someone help me understand how to manage this issue using the Article Module (deprecated)?
I'm attaching some images to make things clearer.
