Joomla versions don't work - missing table

I'm using the JA Mono template and created the site fresh using your quick start package (very helpful).
I was editing an article and clicked versions. I saw a list of previously saved versions of the article - so far so good.
I clicked one of the versions and got an error that the Categories table didn't exist.
How do I get this corrected?
