JA Vega How to load article intro image on Masthead

Hi. I use JA Vega template in Joomla 5.2.5.
I have set up Masthead module and assigned an image for a blog menu. When I open an article I want to load the article intro image on the masthead. However always the default for this blog menu image is loaded.
On the other hand, if a do not set a default image for the menu, the intro image of the article loads (as I want) but there is no image showing on the main page of the blog.
How can I have both functions, i.e. a default image on Masthead when I see the blog and the article intro image when I read the article?

With your idea, I think it is necessary to customize the layout for the masthead module.

I figured out the solution:
I need to go to the masthead module and delete the image of the menu and the default image of the masthead module and then go to the template layout and put the blog menu image as overlay on the section the module will be assigned. This way the default image shows on blog page and the article intro image on the article page.
