After updates that looked to be going just fine, I discovered that my main menu's CATEGORY drop-down wasn't displaying the category blog layouts it should, and was showing a blank page instead. Looking further I got the classic Joomla Article Author UserID not found error, which was very surprising, as I haven't created or deleted any users. In hopes I could quickly resolve or at least test the error, I created users with the two missing userIDs (48 & 62), but that did not resolve the category blog layout display issue -- it just stopped showing the missing user error.
Can you please help me deduce why the articles are not displaying (they're still published and in the appropriate categories). I have also tried rebuilding the menu, after creating the missing users.
I've tried everything I can think of so far. I want to make these fixes on the live site as well, as I didn't notice the error before making this update there also. 🙁 Right now the category drop-down on the main menu is just unpublished.) So please outline the steps you take when you're able to fix it, so I can apply them to both sites. Thank you, in advance.
