I just got a notification that my subscription is running out. I won't be renewing. I've been using JoomlArt for 17 years... So sad to see it die like this. Guess we just move on to other things. It's going the same route as rocket theme and i'm not paying for nothing and no answers. It's quite sad to see how JA managed all this. We deserve better than that.

So as a longtime fan and user of Jomsocial I am now rewarded with - a DOUBLING of my subscription fee. If you were on a standard Jomsocial subscription it's even worse, a jump from $99 to $299. Don't waste time telling Jomsocial licence holders they now have access to all Joomlart products, if they wanted that they would have chosen to pay for it. Now we're being forced to pay for products we don't want just to get access to the one we need. Worse still, as Jomsocial is a more niche extension than a template will we be expected to wait in ever lengthening queues for updates and support? And all of this before a commitment to continue development of Jomsocial for Joomla 6 has even been given.

I don't have a problem with paying for an 'Everything Club' if extensions get the same attention as templates, I just doubt that will be the case.

How about some input from Joomlart on what your plans are now? Are you really going to carry on supporting DTH, Shape5 and JoomlaBamboo products into the future? Will you be fulfilling your commitment to provide regular new templates to those customers who've paid for it? Will Jomsocial be updated to Joomla 6 and continue to receive updates and support?

I totally agree. I have subscriptions for templates and extensions and suddenly I have to pay twice. I don't need Jomsocial or anything else that I would pay for if I wanted to. But then again, I would pay that amount if I saw that both the templates and the extensions were being upgraded or getting new features. But now? Actually, now I'm thinking of going with another provider, not because I don't like the templates, but things are not clear about where they will go and I can't build on sand.

It would seem Joomlart is becoming an enterprise site, they are promoting this new GEO and have scrapped all pricing except one. It looks like they are trying to make as much money as possible before likely 'shutting down'. It screams of it in every way. They have moved the support to Telegram, which I know nobody that uses that.
It really feels like they want to pivot away from Joomla and templates/extensions and into a different kind of business but they are still trying to sell the old Joomla stuff which is already starting to be outdated. A cash grab as a said before. I'm a business person myself and everything here over the last year smells really bad.
At least Rockettheme just finally said goodbye and cut their losses. I would NOT renew right now unless new templates or extensions start coming out.
a 3x price increase for some products is NOT inflation either. It's just bad business.

To sum it up, it's been a year since a new template has been added.
So the subscription is only for receiving support and, hopefully, updates.
And for this, you have to pay not $89 but $299 a year?
Joomlart rethink the pricing structure as it was before, this is really too much.

The only thing I'm using is the T4 Page Builder for my Joomla website.
Great tool! I love it.
But $299 per year for just this page builder is way too much.
Before the "simplification of the pricing structure" I've paid around $60 per year.
If the new pricing structure did not change I will look for alternatives.

Considering that most of us are currently paying just for updates, I think very few will pay $299.
If they don't revert to the old payment plans, I'll have to look for a different option, too.

I am not renewing, is extreme crazy expensive for a product that is not updated and support takes months. So, it is the end of the road for me. Good Luck Joomlart.

Thanks for the advice.
Honestly, I'm thinking about abandoning Joomla. The whole ecosystem is disappointing me. They've been stuck on 3 forever, and now every two years they have to overturn everyone's work.
I still have a few sites with Joomla upgraded to 5 that obviously won't be upgradeable to 6 because they're based on T3... I think I'll switch them to WordPress and that's it.
It won't be painless, but if I have to pay $299 for three T3-based sites that will not be updated, I don't see any other solution.

adsoma Yes I agree and Joomshaper and for that matter their Page Builder interface using Helix maybe a great transition from JoomlArt's Pagebuilder that's almost all I use now. Thanks for the suggestion and other recommendations! Sorli...

Before move to WordPress, try Joomshaper. The SP Page Builder is easy to use and very intuitive. The templates are very good and modern.

I used Joomshaper before I discovered Joomlart.
Then I became fond of Joomlart, and everything was fine until a year ago.
Then something happened, but they won't tell us what.
And it's really sad that we longtime customers have to be treated this way.
I'm speechless.

saguaros As I am sure you know, I have been with Joomlart for a very long time. I have huge respect for Hung. I can honestly say I have really enjoyed my time here. I have learnt a lot, made many mistakes but wouldn't have it any other way.

Sadly the lack of new templates and the pricing means this will be my last year. For many, the high price is just not viable, especially for those who have sites that are hobby based, not commercial. There are many in that boat and who have enjoyed JA for many years. I fear that like me, they will not renew. I do hope JA reconsider the new pricing structure, especially as many of us have zero interest in any of the other offering other than the Joomlart ones. There is also a very obvious frustration and even some anger from those who have joined but not seen their contractual obligations met, that of twelve new templates per year.

JA have an amazing portfolio of products, especially the original template club. Quite a legacy of innovation. It is such a shame to see this. Doubly so as the flexibility of Joomla couple with a JA template is amazing, but compared to other offerings the new pricing makes it a tough sell.

saguaros I agree with what's being said here. Many of us only need T4 Page Builder and 1 or 2 templates and a couple of extensions (at most).
Why pay to access everything? It doesn't make sense.
I will not renew my subscription so far. I have a big site using TELINE V, I am moving to different template this coming week.

I believe you know that some people will not enjoy your new pricing plan.
I'm using only the T4 Page Builder from you. I'm not interested in anything else you offer.
And the new pricing plan is not a simplification to me - it is just a massive price upload!
If you still hold on your new "one pricing plan" I will definitely not purchase it.

If they are not very simple websites, they will cost you more in WP. If they are simple, you can very easily redesign them in T4 or anything else compatible with J5. J5 is far more complete than WP. You don't even need additional SEO tools. I have a website left on WP and I will transfer it to J5 soon. The question is whether it is better to continue here or somewhere else. However, if I leave here, the most attractive solution seems to me to be Yootheme, because I use custom fields a lot.

@saguaros I'm sorry but there is no Joomla service in the world worth $299/yr. And I can understand a monthly payment of like $14.99 or something for what you are offering but I don't know many people especially in today's world going to pay $299/yr for things they may never use. Most people WILL NOT get the worth from that as they don't need all those services.

In my opinion, templates should be sold on both as one-time per or monthly/yearly subscription for all. Same goes for other services or features and then you can also offer an all-in-one inclusive plan on top.

Take a look at Apple's business model, they sell all their services as a monthly or yearly subscription, then they also have 3 Apple One bundles, that go from a little, to everything based on your needs.

And also J6 is going to be coming out, is there a public plan or roadmap for this yet, how are you selling your business plan to your customers. Because right now it just feels like you raised prices and have nothing to offer people as a reason to pay more or upgrade.
If customer retention is important, trust me when I say look into other plans also, offer many different ways to be a subscriber or customer because that is what people like in todays world, especially here in the states. We want alot of options and find the best bang for our buck but we also don't want to pay for things we will never use.

Joomlart team, please take these comments from us seriously. None of your competitors are taking this sledgehammer, take it or leave it approach with their customers.
Regular Labs offer a €299 yearly membership for all pro extensions but you can buy a single extension only if you wish - even a free version.
Joomlashack offer a $299 yearly membership for all pro extensions on unlimited sites but you can get them all for $99 for a single site or even just buy one extension.
Tassos Marinos offers all his extensions for a €160 yearly membership but again, there are cheaper options.

Please reconsider what you are doing.

Well, here my interest Jomsocial and JoomlArt Templates. Impression areas follows:

Even Jomsocial page have a 404 when click on Pricing. Been looking until I found this thread to FIND If I want just JomSocial have to pay $299. First advise FIX the pricing link as it looks BAD a 404 error on that KEY link.

Second, FIX the recover password functionality as I had to create a new account to access the forum.

I am a JA Template subscriber and WON'T be renewing after reading this thread and the lack of clarity about JA future.

Time ago JA ahead of time used to publish in advance new update plans when a major Joomla version was about to be released, Joomla 6 due in October NO mention anywhere.

I suggest JA to speak clearly as the new $299 price purpose is to MILK what is remaining from loyal JA. Be transparent, take a stance and be ETHICAL.

I don't see me moving away from Joomla as long as it keep being updated. I do see me moving away from Developers that provide poor support, poor value, and represent HUGE risk from going away at any moment. I lost key time when Astroid Developers closed shop.

Actions and lack of clear communication is the worst a company could do. $299 PRICE is a key indication you guys are in DECLINE stage of Product LIfe Cycle and are harvesting from LOYAL customers. At DECLINE stage companies reduce expenses and resources, support.

Even if you finally take a stance and commit your loyal users, the questions posted here will remain in our heads. DO your customers a favor and Speak Clearly. The price decision speaks a ton.
