Hi guys! I just switched to a new server and i didn't check but they use a different database than SQL...it's called MariaDB.
Will this cause problems with any migration of my joomla sites or future dev?
odd caching issues for logo from within the Media, will not allow for logo change in the Template: edit style: ja_purity_iv - Logistics when i select the new "downtown abby lawyers" logo it doesn't allow for it to show up! i cleared the cache, but it's not helping.
my preview in the Templates: Edit Style area is not showing anything like what it should.
i found a reference to another of your users having a theme switch problem. so i was able to make the Logistics nav item into the home button and it worked in getting the home page functioning.
is this a possible issue from the database or is it just some weird bugs?
Thanks!
I was also hoping that the graphic for the home page would extend up into the navigation like it does in the demo.
still cannot get the logo to work and when i use the Templates: Edit Style area, and directly connect the logo to the custom one I made, it reverts back to the original Purity stock logo. I am going to try deleting the original logos, but it won't even overwrite them! very peculiar behaviour.
this is the hardlink for the logo that won't go away! https://abbylawyers.com/images/joomlart/logo-w.png#joomlaImage://local-images/joomlart/logo-w.png?width=173&height=63
AzimuthDesigns Hello
Which Joomla version are you using? If you're using Joomla 5, it will require MariaDB 10.4.0 version or above.
For other issues, kindly check the provided admin account again as it doesn't work now.
i have confirmed we are using: VERSION() 10.6.16-MariaDB-log
Let me update the admin account for you. odd that it's not working!
AzimuthDesigns The temporary admin account you shared in this topic doesn't work, kindly check again.
After several attempts to fix the temp User, I have succeeded! please try again using the information provided above for access!
I swear there is something wrong with the permissions.
It also appears that the base install for "Contact Us" failed to present?
https://abbylawyers.com/index.php/news/contact-us
Author Listing is also missing.
I was hoping to use that for the Team page.
https://ja-purity-iv.demo.joomlart.com/index.php/bonus-pages/author-listing
vs
https://abbylawyers.com/index.php/news/author-listing
I was also hoping in the Template T4 area would have the highlight areas of what section I'm looking at.
for example on this page:
https://abbylawyers.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_templates&view=style&layout=edit&id=17
When I roll the mouse over the preview...there is no indication as to what that area is or if it's editable.
The phone sized responsive layout now shows 2 logos?
Is there a way to control the break point for the website such that it also includes the overlay so that the logo doesn't disappear?
vs the slightly smaller screen...
is there what is called a "Layout Position Preview" in Purity??
would you recommend deleting the installation and starting over again??
ok, i did a clean install and figured out that if i change the default setting for the website from:
Templates: Styles (Site) ja_purity_iv - Default. >> ja_purity_iv - Logistics
the following pages are broken. Contact Us Author Listing
well....look at me figuring it out!
the problem was when i changed the base template style. it needs to be left as Default!
let me take a look at what's going on and if that fixed some things.
AzimuthDesigns Hello, Sorry for the late reply. Can you confirm if you already manged to sort this out at your end or you still need our further assistance?
I am not sure what the results are at the moment. I confirm I still need help.
I am open to not being sure how your T4 system works for this preview section.
This is the Default page I'm being showed. It's def not correct or matching the live version I have.
AzimuthDesigns Hi
The preview will show the content of that page on the current layout. I guess you're assigning another layout to the homepage so when you view the homepage in current 'default' layout, it will show some parts that are included in this 'default' layout only.
Try to open with the template style that you're assigning to this homepage and see how it goes.
