Tags not displaying in article view

Hi, I configured the tags in System>Global Configuration>Tags just as in the quickstart, I also checked in the menu and article options if the the tags were set to "show" - they are.
Still, no tags are visible when I open the article in the website.

I can create tags, tag modules (and then the tags are displayed, but only in the module), I can create Tag menu items that show the tagged articles, but no clue why they won't display in article view.

I upgraded the site from Joomla 3.8.3 to 3.8.10 and then proceeded to change the template from Ja Nex T3 - now trying to configure it.
I also checked the Database fixes thinking that the upgrading messed something up, but everything was OK.

Any idea where I should try and look? Anyone reported a similar problem? Am I missing something?

At this stage it's still in the developing site on my localhost 🙁
So there's no known issue, I assume. Will try to look for it a bit longer on my own.
