Menu toggle (sideways/off-canvas) doesn't work, only dropdown/caret button does

Though most template menu-items toggle open when they're clicked, Seven's 'off-canvas' menu only does so when the dropdown-caret-icon button is clicked (even though it's extremly difficult to hit the small buttons on small screens).

How can one make the menu-items themselves toggle open the sub-menus?

With off-canvas menu, we add a toggle button on the right side of parent menu item so you can click to show the next level of the menu.

you can add the sub-menu item for the current menu in Home 3 and see the same.

saguaros Hi Saguaros, it's not just the off-canvas caret (which has a decent size not to be a huge issue), but also the small-screen mega-menu (on the default template, for all pages other than homepage). That menu's caret is extremely small and positioned right next to the menu item, making it almost impossible to push the caret to see the submenus (without accidently pushing the menu-item itself, consequently changing the page without opening the menu).

The best solution for this seems to be to make the menu/submenu behave as it does is other templates (submenus open when the mainmenu is clicked, and not just its caret).

cemsdb Clicking the parent menu item to open the dropdown would be perfect if that parent menu item has type of Heading / Parameter. But in most case, the parent menu item often has link so when you click, it will redirect to that own page. That's why we put the caret there.
