Odd menu login link behaviour

I have discovered a strange and very annoying behaviour when creating a menu item as a login page.
I'm not sure if it's a template, magamenu, Joomla 4 or even and extension issue (K2 or even Zentools - both of which have been disabled/unistalled).
When I create the login menu I expect the link on the front end to show: 'sitename/login'
However, what I get is: sitename/k2-tag/login (or some other reference to K2)
Rebuilding the menu in the back end fixes the issue, but I have to rebuild every time I open the menu in the backend (e.g. to make it visible in the front end).
Is there a way to make the menu rebuild permanent, so I don't have to do this every time I open the menu in the backend?
Perhaps I have to re-install a core Joomla file, or do something in Megamenu?
Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.
Please note there is no sample to view as this is a working site (but I can show it for a short time if needed to troubleshoot).

Hi Nick,

It looks like there is extension / menu item for that k2 login which override your default login menu item type of Joomla. It'll be great if you can share the login info of your site so I can check directly for you.

I have provided log in details.
I have also made visible the "Members" menu item which is the problem.
As soon as I made it visible, "k2-categories" was added to the link. See here:
https://sedaexport.com.au/k2-categories/members
If you remove the "k2-categories" from the link on the site, it goes to the members section, which is what I want.
I'm sure if I/you "rebuild" the menu, the k2 problem is removed.

I can't find the 'k2-categories' menu item on your site now.

Do you have any extension that set the redirection for this login menu item? or rule for redirection in htaccess file.

Thanks for looking. I'm not sure why this is happening as I thought I removed anything to do with K2. I've even looked at the database and there is no reference to K2 in extensions.
I'll have a look at htaccess, but that's not something I've ever had reason to change.
I did have Zen menu (Joomla bamboo) on the site at some stage, and I haven't been able to completely remove/uninstall Zentools (again Joomla bamboo). Perhaps there is some interaction with these extension/plugin leftovers.

NickMo1 You can review all extensions / menu items related to K2 and remove it as it's not compatible with Joomla 4.

I removed K2 years ago from this site but it seems something was left behind that is creating this issue. Something that is not immediately visible or obvious. Fortunately it gets fixed each time the menu is rebuilt (I have no idea how the menu rebuild works - but perhaps the answer lies there).
