We have now problems with the JomSocial emojis, see photo.
Need help with that.
Hi, have you ever performed a server migration before?
I noticed that your database collation is incorrect at the moment.
Could you please share the phpMyAdmin credentials in the secret box so we can investigate the issue?
Now you have the C-panel login URL, username and password under FTP info.
There might be a problem with your php 80. When I change php version to 74, the emoji works again and the site becomes faster.
I went back to PHP 7.4 but am getting warnings that PHP 7.4 is on its way out.
Saw that you have now made an update to JomSocial 4.8.3 which should work with PHP 8.0.
Unfortunately, I have problems with emoijs again.
Please help me.
I will review and provide you with feedback as soon as possible. However, since this investigation may take some time, I recommend that you switch back to PHP 7.4 while waiting for the issue to be fixed.
Ok, we are back to 7.4 now.
Thanks for your understanding!
Any news about this?
I tested the issue on my dev server and did not experience any problems, but only happend on your server. It appears that the issue may be related to the way Joms encodes message content. To fix this, I am currently reworking the AJAX request. Please be patient as this process may take some time.
I just did the Joomla 4.3.1 upgrade and emojis looks better.
We are still on PHP 7.4.
