JA Magz II - broken syndication module

Hi there,

I bought the JA Magz II template from you some time ago. The Joomla syndication module is broken on the template, and after some investigation it appears that the issue is caused by the JA Magz II template.

I am using a slightly older version of the template, but was wondering if you could provide some support on how to fix the module / how I could go about updating the template if that is the appropriate fix?

JA Magz II template doesn't override this syndication module, did you try to check this module with default Joomla template like Protostar? and see how it goes

Hi there, and thanks for getting back to me.

I have just tried switching a menu item to the prostar template and trying the syndication module. The module did not work on that page either, with a similar error.

I have been told that this is a gantry issue with the theme, and am slightly at a loss if that isn't is. What other explanations / fixes might there be?

The error shows as:

CALL TO UNDEFINED METHOD JOOMLA\CMS\DOCUMENT\FEEDDOCUMENT::ADDHEADLINK()

You can try to disable Gantry + its theme or any other 3rd party extension and see how it goes. If the issue comes from Gantry, you can contact their support for further help. If not, you can put the same question into Joomla forum as the error indicates issue from Joomla core file.

Hi there,

I have disabled all other custom themes and associated plugins, and my joomla support service has overwritten my core Joomla files to ensure that there is no issue there. However the issue is persisting. Do you know what else could be the issue, and what else I might be able to do to find a possible fix?

adamhyde Did you update Joomla or install any 3rd party recently? I meant before the issue happened. I suggest you to temporarily disable all 3rd party extensions first, if not, then there maybe something wrong with recent Joomla update on your site.

If you have backup of previous working version, pls try to restore and update again.
