Folks, you don't get access to our proprietary administration panel so stop it with this stupid notion I'm giving you administrator access to our site so you can fix your bug. That AIN'T happening.
What I need is a decent set of manuals/documentation, preferably one written by someone with:
a. Knowledge of the programs, components, modules and plugins and
b. Their first language is English so they know how to write it so English speaking people can read it.
With that said... I almost praised your company for the mix.store template. It's the first time in FIVE years I've actually installed one of your quickstart packages and everything actually worked out of the box as shown on your demo. Well, almost everything. Installing my components and they all worked without too many issues of box sizes and other css items needing to be dealt with was a relief and something I have never experienced with your product line of templates. I only had to add two statements to the custom.css file to fix your crazy padding sizes and another to fix the font color.
This goes back all the way to JA-Directory... which BTW you still haven't fixed the K2 portion of, but we're not installing that anymore... tired of having to tweak it so K2 does what it is suppose to do.
Unfortunately I need help with your Mega Filter component, seems I need to run a cron job, but once again, the explanation is lacking and you CANNOT be granted administrator access to our site PERIOD. So now I need someone who knows how to do the cron job setup to actually write something, preferably in the documentation so I can read it and get the component properly configured and generating indexes.
You guys are close with your product lines... but your documentation still sucks!
Why don't you just build a damn wiki and be done with this message board non-sense?
Tired of wasting my time here and BTW I hardly EVER even venture here... this post is a rare item indeed.
You'll note, I don't purchase your packages anymore... i.e. developer, just your templates and JomSocial, which is the smartest thing your guys ever did... buying that component. Can't wait until you get that one a little more along like Video uploading... still an issue even with a stand alone server with all the compute power in the world and T-Bytes of room for storage.
Now for the problem... how do I generate the cron job for this component so I can build the indexes?
BTW the proper grammar for this Error code is: "You need "to" generate "a" cron url before using megafilter."
