Purity III in a Joomla 3.9.14

In Google Pagespeed Insights I get:

We recommend using <link rel = preload> to prioritize the resources requested later when loading the page.
https://www.*******************.com/templates/purity_iii/fonts/font-awesome/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.7.0**
Potential savings: 4350 ms

It is a big time saving!

How can I add this <link rel = preload> in the Purity III template?

Or avoid this time in another way?

By default, this webfont URL is not loaded, it's called when the associated css file (which use this font ) is used.

So if you want to add that preload param, you can load it directly into the template file: /templates/purity_iii (your default template)/tpls/blocks/head.php

but, it is possible not to use at all this webfont in purity?

Some styles on your site will use the font so it's required.
