Remove edit on slideshow

Hi,

Normally the bottom of the slideshow is covered by some different modules and the picture is cropped(see screenshot). Is it possible to maybe remove this cropping and have the picture be square like normal?

On big screens the slideshow has a black border at the bottom of the pictures. Here is a screenshot:

I want to remove the black part.

Can you add some padding code between the masthead and the module below it, I don't know what it is called.

Also how would I write a comment in the code so I remember what all the lines of different code are for without screwing up the code?
