Affiliate Ad not being tracked in Ad agency

I have one ad that is an affiliate ad , it got only 4 clicks in may , while the average for all other ads (standard) on the site is 800-1400 clicks per month.

Is this an issue with ad agency having issues tracking the ad on the site?

I just made a test for this ad - protective
In front-end, on the right, I can see the ad on the right, after few page refresh, and I clicked two times on that ad.

The clicks count is now 6, can you please tell me if this issue persist for you.

the ad in there now is a standard ad, the ad in question was an affliate code ad.
the number of impressions in may was over 9000, w 4 clicks (the clicks were me checking the ad) .. the ad was being manged by the company sizmek. they reported 634 impressions and 2 clicks..
can you tell me why there is such a large difference between the metrics for ad agency impressions and the impressions sizmek got for impressions for the same ad on their end?

secondly- we got many more impressions w ad agency when i was not use page builder pages- the header banner ads are still in joomla banners and are getting many more impressions then the ad in ad agency.
can you tell why this is going on?

it seems ad agency is not catching all the impressions for the ads in the pagebuilder position? is this possiable and how do i fix. is it not catcing the impressions on article pages, etc. the pages not built w pagebuilder?

also if the affilate ad is html5 is that the problem?

Hi,

I can see only one affiliate ad - protective - but the ad is un-approved and I can not see the ad on front-end. Impressions count for that ad is 8958.
Can you please tell me the ad name with the issue and where can I see the ad o front-end.

The ad in question is no longer live or running it has been replaced with a standard ad-protective-june is the name of the standard ad in zone2-right side 1 that is live for june.

the html5 code affilate ad is named protective and is unpublished now.

can you answer the questions in my previous message?

one: it looks like an html5 banner affllate ad is not compatable at this time w Ad Agency.

two: the afflilate code ad, protective, that was a html5 banner ad was tracking its own metrics of course. the ad was being delivered by Sizmek from their server.

Sizmek's impressions for the month of may were very different from Ad agency's.

Sizmeks impressions for the protective ad running in Zone 2-right side one were : 624

Ad agencys impressions for the protective ad running in Zone 2-right side one were: around 9000..

why the large difference? i'm gathering the two platforms are not combatable.

when will AA be able to run html5 banner affliate ads?

Hello,
No, at this moment AdAgency is not compatible with HTML5 banners, it is on the roadmap but I don't have a time line yet for implementation.
About the compatibility between different tracking systems and AdAgency, the data may not be the same but I see quite a difference there. Maybe they have some advanced IP's filters or some others filters which AdAgency doesn't. Also, in the AdAgency backend, there is an option to limit the impressions recorded for one IP, it should be minimized.

thanks for the reply . We have some other serious issues w the metrics for impressions and clicks coming out of Ad Agency . they can not be right ..

to use the protective ad as a example - from 6/6 to 6/12 dates

it got around 1700 impressions with 505 clicks 29% ctr.. this can not be right..

it is also true of all the ads except the transision ads --the impressions are very usually low and clicks high..

this has been going on since we returned to ad agecny pro...nothing like this was going on the previous two years we used it the metrics were good..

i need this fixed asap!
or i will have to leave the plug in and get a refund because it is not working prorperly

I just went to your admin and I see these in settings:
Impressions and Click Limitations
Limit Impression Count for a Banner Per IP to

5000
impressions/day

Limit Click Count for a Banner Per IP to

5000
clicks/day

You should limit at 1 (one) impression per IP and thinks should become better. There can be bots that visit page and they are allow to record so many impressions, but also users that visit and browse more page and is not reason to record such a number.

i'm not sure if your understanding the problem.

the problem is not with too many impressions, the issue is the impression count is low except for the transition ads- those impressions are normal .do you think there is a jquery conflict w Ad agency and joomla jquery or all video share on the landing pg?

i have some of the ads being servered from joomla banners - the ads in the header -

their impression count is normal 3x as high as the Ad agency ads
which are on the same pages as the header ads!

the ads in joomla banners are in the normal range for our ads w other metrics as well.
ad agency- the last version we used also had the normal range of impressions and clicks..

this version has only had the right impression counts for the transistion ad but not the standard ads.

Again, why is this version of Ad Agency- missing so many impressions? with the standard ads, but the transiton ad are getting a normal about of impressions.

someting is not working properly w the ad agency metrics..

how do we correct this?

the issue has not been resolved. it is nt being caused by the pg limit counts on the setting page.

Again the transiiton ads are working properly with the amount of impressions , clicks, and ctr rated around 2.9% the ads that are on the pagebuilder (body of the site) are not getting the right amount of impressions, its very low and the ctr is crazy high ( 30-40%)because on this. i need this issue resolved.
could it be a jquery conflict with the pagebulder aspect of the page or the video all share.
again when ads are sever via joomla banners they are getting the right noumber of impressions.. same ads, same spot on the page--the joomla banner ads have much higher (normal) impression count..
ad agency ad in THE SAME SPOT are gettting extremly low impressions counts verus the ads IN THE SAME SPOT being server via joomla banners..
whats going on?

Do you still have that add published on the site? If yes, please send me that page URL and tell me the zone where is set. I will look to see if there are any conflicts in page.
If the ad was in a rotating zone together with another ads, then there can be differences because they are rotating random but if he was single in the zone then should count all impressions.
Please let me know.

Again, for the 3rd time. The issue of the impressions is separate from the ad issue. I tried to start a new question thread with just the impressions issue but it was shut down as solved?
which it is not!
the worst support of a product i have ever had!

forget the original ad i was asking about, whether a html5 ad could be served from joomla.. that was solved! i asked two questions-

separate questions

Again- all the ads, all of them that are being served from the body of the site in ad agency are:

zone3- right side ad 2
zone 4 right side ad 3
and the bottom ad in the middle of the page

the other ads
zone 1 top header
zone 2-right side ad 1
and the first two ads in the middle i have moved back to the joomla banner ads to track the difference in impressions between Adagency and joomla banners.

as i have stated the ad banners being served from joomla banners are getting a normal amount of impressions, roughly 8-9000 a week .. the ad agency ads are not, they are getting 1-3000 a week..they are on the same page! they should be getting a similar amount.

plus the pg ads should be getting a similar ratio to the transition ad--which they are not--they are crazy low compared to the transisn ad.

no the ads do not rotate- a new ad in the zone appears upon refresh of the page..

look i know how impressions work, okay. i'm the web master for this site and i KNOW ad agency is not working properly except for the transition ads--they are getting a normal amount of impressions.

this used to be a good product with good support.. what happened?

i need a solution- or i need to know how to get a refund for the this product that has gone good to bad,

Hi,
I asked you above and please tell me what is the page URL, the zone name and the banner with the problems. Please give me access to admin and FTP and I will investigate again to see if there is any conflict. I am not sure why was working before and is not working now, we didn't make any modifications in AdAgency that may affect the way that impressions are counted. The only restriction is in admin where you can filter how many impressions to be counted per IP. When I did a test in the past all was working as it should, at each page refresh a new impression was counted in admin.
