Change Icons in Positions 1/2/3

Hi all! I'm trying to change icons in positions 1/2/3 as suggested in other threads but i can't see anything.
For example i put the "micoscope" icon \f610 in the template.css but the only thing appears is an outlined square.
For the search module image i did the same thing in the template.css but in this case still perxist the old icon. Do you have any suggestion?

Your administrator page has access ip restrictions, please remove restrictions for Italy , India , Vietnam so we can access your backend

The icon you are using is a Pro version icon that is not supported.
Template support Fontawesome 4.7 version you can find the available icons for this here https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/icons/
and use them.
