How to get Data into the viewed_time column

Hi,
how can I get the viewed_time column filled please?

What time is ment to be in this column?

Hi Peter,

If you set for one course this option - "Course is completed when" - (from general tab) to "Course time recording", this means that the course is done for one student if that student view course lessons for 1 hour, or 30 minutes, depends on the option you set for course.
In database, in that column, is saved the time that student view the course lessons, when student view one lesson for 5 min, that time is saved in database, and then, if open another lesson for 3 minutes, in database the stored time will be 8 minutes.

thank you so much, I will give it another go,

would be good to have the view_time, I just could not get it working, setting to Course time recording,
the course kept being not completed, so I could not get the Certificate.

I have just noticed something in your answer above -

My course level should be Member, or do you mean that every User has to have its own course?

The Testuser is using this course.

Now that the column viewed time and completed are being filled I can devolop my querys 🙂 🙂

Even the course completed button is displayed inside the player, after closing and reopenig the course, is that mend to be like this, or should the course completed button pop up after the set time duration has been passed?

In the course view is no status defined, again is that mend to be like this?

Hi Peter,

The issue was with AJAX request when count the time viewed for lessons. The code is in this file:
"components\com_guru\js\guru_modal.js" line - 801
For second and third issue, can you please provide me multiple details? Where you can see the course completed button and what course status you want to be displayed?

I would like the status passed to be displayed in the video line, when the course viewing time has passed, just like it is in the line for the Quiz ?

Hi Aladin,

Hours later I have to apologize this error is not due to guru, its being displayed by joomlas error reporting feature!

I keep getting this error message every time a student is logged in...

It states that the email address is not valid. There is no clickable link.

The email address for the Student User: "ebeb" Pass: "ebeb"and teacher are both valid.

I have tried to do a display none, that of course did not work.

How can I avoid this error message please?

Hi Hans,

Please let me know if I do not understand the correct issue. You want to display the status time viewed for that lesson, where you added a video in lesson, so, if you set for that lesson 2 min for example, and user take 2 mins to watch the video from that lesson, you want to display on status column - viewed or something, and if user take 1 min for example to watch the lesson, the status will be - not viewed.

Hi Alin,

yes thats it, inside the red rectangle, "comleted" when the set time has been reached or "not comleted" when the view time has not been reached.
Just like the Quiz has been passed or not.

Of course only if you would like to do so, I just wondered if that should be the case 🙂
