Masthead Issue when using JA Custom Search

The problem i'm having is the correct masthead image is not showing up on the search results page when i use the JA Custom Search Menu search option. As i can't add this to the masthead module as it's not a menu how do i get it to show the correct image this is how it currently looks.

i can't find the correct css code to correct this but know it will be similar to this .layout-blog div.t3-masthead .ja-masthead-detail{background-image:none;} as this is what fix the same issue i was having with the blog side of things but all the similar things i've tried with search hasn't work.

I created a custom class in your custom.css file .nosearch for your search page, such class hide the default masthead background and load the one added into the masthead module -

Now your search page is using custom background masthead -

I have had a look at my website while it is showing an image it's displaying the default image as below

But i need it to show this image which is the one a signed to all the menus in the masthead module. See below

Actually your search menu item is showing the masthead image assigned to it into the masthead module

Maybe i misunderstood your question ?

I still continue to not understand , the ja-search background is defined into the home menu item

If you then click on the search - the masthead image is then showed as i already showed in my previous post, so i cannot understand what's your problem now.

I know the background image is set to the one that i want but it's the results page page that is the issue at shows the default image and not the set image. if you use the search bar as per my last screen shot you'll see that it shows the default image. you used the one on the main menu and im not using that and it has now been deleted i want to use the one in the screenshot (as per screenshot above in previous post).

donaldh078 Hi. I think I may understand. When You search for something You are being redirected to a page with ID 0 - "&Itemid=0", which tells me that You do not have a landing page for search results set. Please add a menu item with a type of "Search results" to any menu (doesn't have to be menu shown on site). Than search results will get an ID You will be able to attach a background/mashead to.

When i do a search for wildcats with the search bar in the image i get this as the url mysite.com/component/search/?searchword=wildcats&searchphrase=all&Itemid=0 i have created a hidden menu and created a menu called search results and added this to the masthead menu but i still get the default image with JA City Guide but if i put in mysite.com/search-results i get the correct wording but still the default image.

Am i doing something wrong??

I have now taken out the Masthead as this issue can't be solved by the looks unless you can tell me why it ain't working. I'm now just using it without the masthead, thanks for trying to help but nothing worked it shouldn't of been so hard to try and solved.

donaldh078 Hi. We cannot tell what is wrong without a look into joomla panel settings. If You have a landing page fro search results than it should work already. Please provide an access to Your joomla panel. You can enter those credentials in the first post while editing (into black field), this way those credentials will only be seen to forum support.

donaldh078 Hi. I can see You have set the landing page correctly (landing page for search is a menu item type of Search Results). But since not many people does that I think developers has overwritten to use a page with ID (since it does not exists in joomla), but indeed this means that no modules can be attached to such page. Please attach an access to ftp so I will be able to trace where this override is done and remove it so the page You've created will be used.
