Off Canvas should be visible to registered users only

We are using Joomla latest version 3.8.5 and JA BIZ template
We have created menu off-canvas and assigned it to position 'off-canvas' and want to use this as admin menu for a particular group of registered users.
We have therefore created access level 'Off canvas' and associated this to the User Groups Having Viewing Access (excluded public).
The module for menu off-canvas has access 'Off canvas' assigned.

But still when we go to the webpage in public (not logged in) the off canvas menu is accessible and the off canvas button is visible.
What we expect is that the off canvas menu should only be present for the main menu items in responsive layout - but the off-canvas module with its menu items should be visible to the logged in users only.

you have not understood my issue !

My request was not to completely disable the collapse navigation for small screens but I want to keep this in place to show the menu items from the main navigation on small screens.

What I do not want is to see the off canvas menu and module I created for the administrative area on public page but it should only be visible when users are logged in. This is independent whether it is standard screen or small screen.

That is the reason why I recorded the case.
Have you carefully reviewed this ?

Hi Markus,

You can try this tweak:
1- Go to file: root/templates/ja_smallbiz (your default template)/tpls/blocks/off-canvas.php
2- Under this line of code:
defined('_JEXEC') or die;

Add this snippet of code:

$user = JFactory::getUser();
$viewLevels = $user->getAuthorisedViewLevels();
$canvasAccess = 7;
if (!in_array($canvasAccess, $viewLevels)) {
	return;
}

Note that: $canvasAccess = 7: 7 is the ID of the Access Levels on your site: http://prntscr.com/iqesgd

Hi Saguaros,
the proposal with the snippet of code is working but exactly the other way around.
That means with your code the off_canvas module and the button is not longer visible/accessible when users are logged in - but it should be the other way. The off_canvas module and the button should not be visible when users are logged out.
But it should be visible to all users logged in with access level 'Off canvas' assigned

I've just visited Your site and noticed that the Off-Canvas Access Level has changed it's ID to 13, so this may be the problem of Saguaros solution working the other way around. Please check that and adjust the ID in root/templates/ja_smallbiz (your default template)/tpls/blocks/off-canvas.php

This was indeed the problem and the proposed solution is working perfectly fine now and we fully achieved what we desired.
