Yes, I think most convenient way would be to copy+paste the similar format for new article-item and then change it accordingly. Editors always can give you the power to create the kind of content you want, without limitations, and without needing to know or learn HTML so I feel that it is better to do it the way you wish to do 🙂
Provided the HTML tags or other codes doesnt get stripped for which you can try to apply the workaround shown here if it happens
