remove social icons and left area

I searched but can't find a way, a simple way to remove the social icons at the left !

And maybe remove all left area.

If someone have a idea to do this...

dieudonne You can edit this file /wp-content/themes/News2/layouts/content.post.featured.php and comment out this code :

$social_api_output = gk_social_api(get_the_title(), get_the_ID());

like this

//$social_api_output = gk_social_api(get_the_title(), get_the_ID());

Further, You can add this in css file ::
article.gk-has-aside .gk-article-body{padding-left:0 !important;}

Please try to remove also this fragment from content.post.featured.php file:

Last thing, if there is a new version of News2, I'll lost my modification... ?

So the best way is put the file "content.post.featured.php" inside my child theme
"wp-content/themes/News2child/layouts/content.post.featured.php" ...?

Hi,

Yes, if you update entire News2 theme directory (please remember about the backup), you'll lost your modifications.

You're right, the best solution is creating Child theme and adding your modifications there. (use the same directory structure to override files)
