    About T3 Framework

    JA T3 framework is a third generation template framework developed by JoomlArt for Joomla! 1.5 and above. It brings with it a new file/folder structure, new features and lots of improvements.

    What is new in T3 Framework V2

    • The Admin Panel revamped - ajax-supported, nested tabs for easy navigation
    • Better Iphone, Android or any handheld device
    • Improved Profiles Override flexibility - override almost output generated by Joomla!, even menu items right inside the template menu system
    • Support Google font - give you added control when using linked font
    • CSS & JS Compress - minify the number and weight of files
    • Multi-themes & User theme support. You can design & release your own theme for a T3 template
    • Many more, checkout our Wiki for more information

    The major core features in the first T3 release are ported to this new version:

    • Modular code makes the template light, fast, yet extremely powerful.
    • 4 advanced menu systems - an upgrade of the popular Megamenu, which soars above other menu systems with additional classes, menu item descriptions and slogan lines
    • Multiple layout system - layouts are built in blocks, each having distinctive styling and module positions.
    • Mobile Ready - device detection capabilities implemented right inside framework making your website mobile-ready for devices such as Blackberry, Android, Palm, Windows Mobile and also iPhone devices.
    • Native RTL (right-to-left) support powered by ingenious code which switches not only text-direction but also the template's styling.

    The Joomla 1.6 is on horizon, the RC seem to be well planned sometimes on Aug/Sept.
    Therefore upgrading existing templates to 1.6 + JAT3 built is currently our choice at the moment.

    FYI, the 1.6 version of JAT3 is almost done now. Here is a quick screenshot of the T3 in 1.6 Admin panel

    Do you mean JA will keep both joomla 1.5 and joomla 1.6 templates built in T3 v.2?
    regards.

    All of templates released from now on, it will be developed for both 1.5 & 1.6. You wont having any problem when upgrading your website to 1.6; we will provide the 1.6 version as soon as RC version is released.

    For those are for 1.5 but running with old version of T3, it will be upgraded to 1.6 with new T3

    This looks great, and I can hardly wait to install this and try out Purity II. However, the blank Framework installation package t3_framework_2_(2010_version).zip is missing a couple of files favicon.ico, index.html, and template_thumbnail.png at least, so it will not install.

    The templateDetails.xml file includes:

    <files>
    <filename>component.php</filename>
    <filename>favicon.ico</filename>
    <filename>index.html</filename>
    <filename>index.php</filename>
    <filename>params.ini</filename>
    <filename>template_thumbnail.png</filename>
    <folder>core</folder>
    <folder>info</folder>
    </files>

    But the zip file does not include an index.html, favicon.ico, or template_thumbnail.png. Please advise.

    Hi,
    the files have been updated and you can download the package again. Only the template.xml file is changed. You can even delete the reference of missing files from the template.xml file for now and install it.

    Regards

    Arvind
