Has anyone else had issues with this site being very slow to load

I have a very fast pc and phenominal download speeds (just download 790 megs at 1285.6 KB/s)

On occasion JA can be very slow. But it is extremely quicker than it was just a few months ago before they upgraded to a new server. You will definitely see a big slow down when there is a new template released.

no, the joomart site is always slow, and even slower when a new template is added.

one thing I noticed is that when the site loads the background is white, than blue, and then white again, is it loading a background graphic. that seems to be the bottleneck

Sure isn't slow right now. The forum link from the email I just got for this post loaded before I could blink and I also went to the home page and it took maybe 2 seconds. It must be your computer if you think it is slow right now.

no way download speed right now is over 1200 KB/s

AMD 6000, 2 gigs of ram

wired network

everything else load super fast, files download before I can even choose the place to save them

you may have the site in cache already

clear your cache and cookies and try it again

spyware blaster
avast
avg
a squared
searchbot search and destroy

all current, active, updated, and run daily

actually, at this moment it is working fine :)

ran everything today, checked my connection speed (1200+KB/s) 43 seconds to load main page

if no one else is having this problem i will let it go, i just really wanted to know if anyone else was having this issue

Pretty slow today...it took me between 15-20 seconds to load main page.

It's intermittently slow for me, today it's slow - about 20 seconds to load each page, maybe it's a sign that a new template is coming.... :p
