Hey everyone,

I'm trying to set up my site so its search engine friendly, but from what I understand, that requires 3rd party components to work if your running joomla on IIS rather than apache. Has anyone managed to get the feature up and running on IIS, or knows of any components capable of doing so without direct access to the web server's configuration?

Thanks in advance,

Heath

You should be able to use Artio SEF.
But tell me what kinda site are you running? News site, community?

It is an infomation site, directory.

We have an issue as hosting company does not have a rewrite programme (ISAPI_Rewrite Lite, IISRewrite or SAPI_Rewrite Full) on the servers. I am not sure hey are willing to install it on their servers.

Is there a way in Joomla to achieve SEO with out having the rewrite programme loaded to there server? eg. a patch or component that will achieve our aim on iis, by loading local files (patches).
