No categories?

I am currently running Joomla 1.09 and am using JASubmit version 2.1. I downloaded and installed the JASubmit with no problems. I checked the config and made sure to include all sections and categories I wanted Publishers to be able to select when they are submitting articles to the website.
The only problem is there is no category drop down that appears. I went back and double checked that categories were selected. I also selected at least 7 sections, but only the "Latest News" category appears.

What am I doing wrong?

I checked under bug fixes and changes on the program and see that it says it includes the category and section feature in the product.

i am having the same problem, i am running joomla 10 and just installed the 2.1 version of JaSubmit, but i have no categories, i looked in the language file but there is nothing there referencing the categories.
The drop down is there, but nothing in it

Do we have to have categories?

oh, i get it, ok, i created a category in joomla and it showed up in the config of the JaSubmit, sorry folks :)

I am having the same problem. Latest versions of Joomla and JA. I create category, it shows up in JA Configuration. I select it, click Save. But then it does not show in the Categores drop-down form
