Hello
I am currently looking to setup a template school website based on joomla that can be used as a quick start for other schools. If I signed up as a member could I include one of your templates in this? Does this statement:
The non-profit domains will not be counted to the total of licensed domains.
Mean that I could?

Hi sysman_mk,
In regards to having a non-profit domain I understand you wish to setup a website which will be a quick start for other schools. Can I ask if it is going to be owned/run by a school and if you will be charging for access to the information.
I also suggest you contact Joomla on their contact page - http://www.joomlart.com/contact_us.html

Hi miccas
The idea is to create a site package with pre-installed modules and componets which a school could use. They can just upload this pre created site and edit the content to suite their needs.
This will be at no cost to anyone. What I need is a quality template to include, hence the question posted.

Hi sysman_mk,
So if I am hearing correctly you want to create a package that any school can upload that will include both the Joomla system and a selected Joomlart template?
I'd suggest, if this is the case, that you contact Joomlart directly at http://www.joomlart.com/contact_us.html

Hi sysman,
From your conversation with Michael, I guest you would like to provide a downloadable JoomlArt template on your non-profit site (school site)
I am sorry this will not be allowed because we do allow to use JA template for free at non profit site, and do NOT allow to distribute them on non-profit site.
Hope this will clear the confusion

I would suggest looking at getting a developer's license for your needs.

Hi guys,
I have an extra question:
...
we do allow to use JA template for free at non profit site,
I am looking for a template for a non-profit organisaiton and i'm very interested in a JA template.
Does this mean I don't have to pay for it?
Would i have to leave a copyright notice in that case?
Greetings,
Benedikt

I think you still need a subscription to obtain access to the templates, however the non-profit domain does not get access to it.

Thanks for the quick answer MiCCAS.
Let's see if i understood you correctly.
I would have to subscribe to to the standard membership, but the domain would not be counted to the total of licensed domains. Right?
I'm asking again, because i only need one template for one non-profit domain.
For a minute i thought i could get a free license. But that's not the case, right?
Thanks,
Benedikt

I cannot be 100% definate about the fact if you need a license or not, but I can assure you if you purchased it then that domain is not counted.
I'm sorry I do not have all the answers for you, I'm not 100% sure myself. But, if they can't do anything for you contact me and I'll see what I can do.

Hi, I used the main contact form to ask this question, but haven't had a response as yet, wonder if anyone can help...
Hi,
Just wanted to check something in the T&C that I hadn't read before.
That is, that non-profit domains aren't included in the domain count.
As it happens the 3 domains registered on my account are all for non-profit groups. There is no way to add non-profit domains to the account without in doing so taking up one of the licences.
I actually have two more non-profit domains that (if I'm allowed, which I think I am according to the T&C) I'd like to use your templates on. So how can I do this without being able to submit the domain? Should I just let you know by email the URL for these non-profit domains, or have I misunderstood the T&C?
Thanks
Anyone else know what to do in this situation, don't want to get in to trouble for breaking T&C. Cheers

Not the best answer or what you want to hear but send Hung Dinh a PM. He usually replies to PM's relatively quickly! Just a suggestion as I can't tell you the answer to your quest! :p

I have a question related to the use of non-profit domains.
I would like to be a paid member, and also, offer a template for free to an NGO where I am a member.
I wonder, how can I make this?
Is it true, that I can register only one domain, and there is no option to register a non-profit domain?
I won't charge any for the template for the NGO (www.ceecn.net). But I would like to use other templates at other domains. How it is possible?
Kind regards,
Csaba

Hi Csaba,
With our membership, depending on which one you'll have to option to register 1 or 3 domains excluding the non-profit domain. Now, if you want to provide a domain to be handed out free there's restrictions there. Each and every domain needs to be licensed. Therefore, you'll need a developer's license. You cannot however just hand out the template, but instead you need to individually register each domain.

I see!
SO, does it mean, that if I register a non-profit domain, it will take the place from other domains?
