Hello,

I installed the JA News Component, and got this:

* Install Component Success

Warning: zip_entry_read() [function.zip-entry-read]: The bytes parameter must greater then zero in /home/sitenamehere/public_html/directory/libraries/joomla/filesystem/archive/zip.php on line 239
JA News component version 1.0

What should the value be? And what does this error affect the layouting?

Thanks.

Cornelio

Thanks for responding Hainn,

The JA News component I installed a long time ago was after it was first released (please see first date). I think there is a newer version of the JA News component now, but I had not a chance yet to try the newer one.

I included the System info below. When I looked at the Joomla website, as fart as the Joomla component itself, the php version indicated below should be sufficient.

I asked my hosting service, they told me that the PHP5 is installed in their servers but is not default.

I know this is not Joomlart issue, but if PHP5 is installed in the server but not the default: Is there script in the Joomla 1.5.x-Teline II that can be changed so that the PHP5 will be the one used?

I am focusing right now more on understanding "Joomla 1.5.x-Teline II itself before I install them in many websites. I was encouraged by the number of fixes you have done the past month that led to the Teline II v1.4. I think it is more stable now and many of the issues raised by customers have been addressed.

I will post a separate thread on my latest installation.

Cornelio
