kick apps is its own platform, you can use one or the other, but not both.. the kick apps apps are only usable with kick apps

I was a little confused there as I did not think you could use Kickapps with Joomla

None taken Teetide I asked because I was not aware that you could use it on Joomla, I wasn't saying you couldn't, just that I didn't know ;)

teetide, i did know about this, but from what I've seen is you cannot take a kickapp app and install it on a joomla site. It appears that the way it works is you need a joomla site AND a kickapps site (two sites, two platforms) and you can unify the login for the two separate sites making the functionality available to users of both sites. They are calling that integration. So, you cannot run a kickapps app on or within a joomla site.

If I'm wrong, point me to the documentation.This is what I got from the articles you linked to.

yes..kickapps integrates well with joomla. you can see it at my site
