View Full Version : Problem How do you unlock a locked page, module, etc

Hello,

Sometimes, for one reason or another, I am logged out from the Admin page because the alloted time has expired.

When this happens, whatever I was working on is locked (with the golden padlock icon), and the page is no longer clickable. How do you unlock?

In Joomla 1.0.xx, go to your admin panel, System>Global Checkin, then the items that are lokced is check out and free for you to use/edit. In Joomla 1.5: Go to the adminsitrator panel, Tools>Global Check-In.

I had this happen to me so many times. There should be a troubleshooting FAQ where non-techies like me can look up to solve these problems. In the meantime, it is good to have people like you who are willing to help.
