Hi all!
I have started restructuring my site using JA Telline II.
I am by far finished in terms of adding content, but i'm slowly getting there. The Ja Telline II template is a template one actually don't need to modify so much in terms of layout/colours etc - it works so nice for many sites as it is. The thing is how to use it propperly.
I am trying to do that here: http://3wpoker.com
In this week (and those to come) i will be adding a few module styles of my own, and also ad a heck lot more content. It would be real cool to get some feedback on how others think things might become in the end - given the "start" i have now
ANY comment aprissiated ;)

It's looking great so far. I really like how your graphics contrast with the text and content.
Keep up the good work !!!
EDIT:
I just explored a bit deeper . . . I REALLY like it so far. The dropline menu compliments your main navigation headings well.

Hi
thx a lot for the feedback :)
yeah - the navigation is my "main concern" when structuring a site, and with joomla, it can be a shure pain in the ass or quite ok if one starts to know the system lol
give me a couple of days more and you'll see the whole menu/site structure completed :)
peace and thx

Just checked back in . . . AWESOME JOB !!!
You're work has inspired me to move forward with my plans for an online magazine to compliment my main site.
In case you didn't notice, I nominated your site for the "Site of the Month" for May 2008.
:)

wow - thanx tcraw1010
That nomination is truly a inspiration for me as well. I must say that although i have improved it, the site is only about 60% ready in terms of how good i want it to be - and IS to be.
I have exams at school these days so my work time is limited, but in about 2 weeks - 3wPoker will have become a lot lot better even.
I gotta head over to the post on the nomination thread, haven't seen it yet, and make shure i say my thanx there as well :)
man - this was a cool "kick" - thx a lot

Your site looks great - I have a lot of work to do on mine, after seeing yours it gave me ideas, it is alot of work, especially in my case joomla 1.0 with no instructions - this Teline II really suits my needs but has given me a bunch of things to reorganize and then on to getting all the features working - great job - Bill:)http://www.americansamurai.com/index.php

thx - i am really exited to be part of the poll and nominated as site of the month. (posts coming up about it in my forum)
Things i still need to fix though:
1. Implemented new menu system = need to edit the css so the menu reflects colours for the sections, as well as maybe add specifick images for menu items in the "Section Navigation" menu........
2. Reviews section is not updated before i get to buy JReviews (costs a few bucks that 'thingie')
3. Logo will be updated so it looks more pro.
3. Entertainment section will get a lot more features added.
4. Two new hilite modules will be created asap.
Of course, my site will look/be a lot better when everything is finished and i can concentrate on adding fresh content. :)
To all that votes for my site - Thanx a lot for your vote :)
later...

OMFG - i think i won the SOTM for May 2008.....
I want to see the thread started about it before i really believe it, but i am extremely proud of this and my thanks goes to all that voted, and a special thanks tcraw1010 for nominating 3wPoker.com
3wPoker will stay a "telline II" site and it will be even more improved in June and the months to come :)
For me this nomination and the result is the biggest reward i have ever gotten for the hours spendt at my computer trying to create a profesional and large online poker, casino and sportsbook site.
Thank you, thank you , thank you to Joomlart and all the great members here.

Well, as of now - June 1 - 3wpoker.com is the winner.
I nominated the site because I thought that you did a great job in not only utilizing the features of Teline II, but in the development and implementation or your graphics, images and information structure. You demonstrated exactly what Teline II is all about.
CONGRATULATIONS - and keep up the great work in maintaining your site.
Hope it proves successful for you.
P.S. (A thought that just came to me . . .Unless you're already doing this and I simply missed it, I wonder if, perhaps, you might consider selling poker/card game related items on your site (and/or on a sister site).

you did a great job in not only utilizing the features of Teline II, but in the development and implementation or your graphics, images and information structure
The information structure of a site is so important to me that getting cred for that is something that means a lot. You should have been in my admin area for a visit :)
The frontend also reflects the backend in terms of structure, and i keep finding my self really satisfyed when i am to locate/add content/features. Actually i don't think anyone would have had any problem at all finding what or where to ad stuff.
There is still a lot to do and a lot to improve, but the inspiration this nomination and competition has given me - makes the job a heck lot easyer and rewarding :)
Regarding the selling cards etc part. This is in my plans, but i am gona write reviews/complete a lot of "half donne" content before i start adding more features.
There will be a five-day-break from the site this week as i am attending som events outside my city. But when i'm back, it's gonna be real nice to fix the last parts that i need to take care of before i can concentrate to the full on just adding articles and inform my visistors as best i can about stuff relevant to the content at 3wPoker.
I had me some beers last night = gotta stop typing before my head explodes lol (arghh how i hate the day after)

Nice work mayhesla, lots of content and easy to navigate. A few too many ads on the front page for me though - I would be wary of clicking around a site like this incase of popups etc, but well laid out with loads of relevant content.
Well done with a template that isn't the easiest to set up, you have put a lot of work into it and it shows ;)

Anybody know what's up with this former SOTM winner? Has the site closed down or what?
I remembered a couple of things from this site that I wanted to go back and look. Unfortunately the site's been down forever.
Does mayhesia ever come onto these foums anymore?
