create menu items to show Content Section in List format doesn't work

Ok, i create a new menu item - List - Content Section, i point it to one of my content section. And i publish. but for some reason, the content still shows up as though I selected Blog - Content Section when creating the menu item. I've deleted and re-created the menu items numerous times but it still won't work.

Can anyone help me? Thanks! - Johnny
