JA Transmenu V2.0
JA Transmenu V2.0

I am very appreciated when Joomla/Mambo community have shown such a strong interest in Transmenu so far. Therefore, I have been working hard for the release of Transmenu 2.0 today. This updated version 2.0 is a stable version for both Joomla/Mambo and offers more options for Joomla/Mambo menus. Below is a full and detailed documentation of Transmenu version 2.0.

Download         Download

Main updates from Version 1.1:

  • 1.Change name from MBT TransMenu to JA TransMenu
  • 2. Support 2 more directions for menu display: "fly up" and "fly from left" (only "down" and "right" in v1.1).

Transmenu Module Features:

  • 1. Stable for both Joomla 1.0.x and Mambo 4.5.x
  • 2. Vertical/Horizontal +Drop down/Fly up style ( for Horizontal ) + Fly out from left or right ( for Vertical ). .
  • 3. Vertical and Horizontal menu use independent CSS files (transmenuv.css and transmenuh.css) for easy modification.
  • 4. Options to choose menutype.
  • 5. Unlimited submenus.
  • 6. Support images icon
  • 7. Main/sub, hover, active menus (both main and sub) will all have independent Css settings.
  • 8. Alpha/Shadow settings for drop down background (settings in transmenu.js).
  • 6. Drop down styles: from top (normally for Horizontal style) or from left (normally for Vertical style)
  • 9. X and Y padding for submenu: applicable with page with > 2 levels menus.

Screen shots and 3 steps to rock your Transmenu:

  • 1. Install normally as other Mambo modules. Leave the default setting as .
  • 2. The default css styles is made for 2 well known default templates: rhuk_solarflare_ii (vertical style) and rhuk_planetfall (horizontal style) giving you an overview of how Transmenu will look like. So set your default template either rhuk_solarflare_ii or rhuk_planetfall and use the following module setting respectively.

    A.Transmenu with rhuk_Solarflare II - Vertical style

    Flying from the left

    Transmenu with rhuk_solarflare_ii - vertical style

    Flying from the right

    B.Transmenu with rhuk_planetfall - horizontal style

    Flying down

    Transmenu with rhuk_planetfall - horizontal style

    Flying Up

  • If you use rhuk_planetfall, you will also need to modify the following changes to get the best implementation of Transmenu

    In the index.php file of the template, search for:
    <div id="silver_toolbar">
          <div id="silver_date">
          <?php echo mosCurrentDate(); ?>
          </div>
          <div id="silver_menu">
          <?php mosLoadModules ( 'user3' ); ?>
          </div>
          <div style="clear: both;"></div>
        </div>
    and replace the whole with:

        <div id="silver_toolbar">
        <?php mosLoadModules ( 'user3' ); ?>
        </div>

    Do not forget to unpublish other user3 modules as well.
  • 3. Play around with CSS files (transmenuv.css & transmenuh.css) and tune into your template.
If you have a good presentation of Transmenu, I will be happy to see it and your site will be added to Transmenu portfolio at JoomlArt.com. Just post your links in the comment forms.
