ReMOSitory Ext 3.04 As a customed work for my customer, I have developed ReMOSitory with some features of DocMan such as: user and group managements, multilevel user access to specific download folders. Seeing that this customed work will be helpful for Mambos users, I decided to release an extension version called ReMOSitory Ext Version 3.04.
The Extension version is added with access permission, users and user group managements. These are favorite features of DocMan. I am thinking of contacting the Admin of Black-sheep-research to see if we can cooperate more in developing ReMOSitory
ReMOSitory Ext 3.04 features:
- All features of ReMOSitory 304 by Black-sheep-research
- Users and groups management. Now you can create many user groups and limit the access level of Remository categories and folders to a specific group.
 Groups/Access rights Management
 Users Management
- Name of download folder is now changeable: Because Remository use a folder to store all download files, it is recommended that you should rename the folder frequently to protect you download area. This flexibility helps your Remository more secured. All you need to do is to change the name your real download folder and download paths in configuration page. All file download links will be automatically updated.
 Path to your download folder
- Add language configuration into Configuration page.
Installation/upgrade:
New installation is processed as normal Mambo component installation, if you are using the regular Remository, just follow these step to upgrade to component Remository Extension.(This works fine with Remository 3.04 if you are using older version, I recommend upgrading to 3.04 and continue with Remository Ext upgrade)
1. Go to Remository Configuration page, backup your download/upload/web download path values (these values are used in step 4)
2. Uninstall Remository. When this component uninstalls, it does not delete its data so you will not loose your data.
3. Install component Remository Ext.
4. Go to Remository Configuration page, update your download/upload/web download path which you have saved in step 1 (these values are restored default after new component is installed).
Now everything works like before. You can go to Remository->Manage Group to add groups, assign users to groups and then edit Category/Folder to assign "Access Group". "Registered Users Only" must be checked if "Access Group" is used.
